“1 – Planning a Railtour / 2 – Locomotive Services Limited Locomotives in Action” : Matthew Mills
Matthew visits us from London to give a two-part illustrated talk on the planning and running of main line railtours.

15th OCTOBER 2016
“Railway Policing in Southampton – Part 3” : Stephen Beamon
Stephen returns to complete his trilogy on the history of the British Transport Police, this time concentrating on the story of the railway and dock police in Southampton.

18th MARCH 2017
“Railways and Infrastructure at Night” : Stephen Bigley
Stephen shares his sometimes unusual views of the railway after dark.

19th NOVEMBER 2016
“My Railway Exploits on Film” : Michael Ellis
Michael visits us from Morecambe to share some of his extensive travels at home and abroad with the aid of his extensive film collection. 

22nd April 2017 – NOTE the fourth Saturday of April
“Gosling’s Gallivants” : Paul Gosling
Always entertaining, Paul returns with his annual review of railway “rambles” to parts near and far.

17th DECEMBER 2016
“Film Show”
Our Webmaster returns with a further selection of his railway and other films to provide a varied entertainment to accompany our seasonal refreshments.

20th May 2017
“Mixed Transport - 5” : Martyn Davies
An eclectic mix of transport subjects – buses, trams, ships, aircraft, commercial vehicles and of course trains, and probably a few surprises as well.

21st JANUARY 2017
Members’ Photographic Evening
The best image or series of images will be rewarded with the “Eric Dash Trophy”, with the second place receiving “Wapping”. Digital images should be supplied on DVD, CD or USB flash in JPEG (JPG) format with medium compression.

69th Annual General Meeting - followed by “Members’ Slides”
